Accessibility statement

Tefilah Guide is built so that everyone can learn from it, including people who use a keyboard, a screen reader, magnification or reduced motion. The site aims to follow WCAG 2.0 level AA, in line with Israeli Standard 5568.

What is in place

  • Full keyboard use with a clearly visible focus outline, and a skip link to the main content.
  • Headings and landmarks structured for screen readers. Hebrew text is marked as Hebrew and read right to left.
  • Colour contrast that meets the standard, and text that scales to 200% without losing content.
  • Game answers are announced to screen readers and never rely on colour alone.
  • Animation respects your system’s reduced-motion setting.

The accessibility menu

The button in the corner opens a menu for larger text, high contrast, inverted colours, highlighted links, a readable font, stopped animation, a large cursor and a reading guide. Your choices are remembered between pages.

Keyboard shortcuts

  • Alt + Shift + S: skip to the main content
  • Tab: move between items. Esc: close a menu.

Known limits

The “Listen in Hebrew” button uses your browser’s built-in voices. If your device has no Hebrew voice, the button is hidden and you can still read every prayer in all three versions.

Report a problem

If something on the site is hard to use, please tell the person who shared this link with you and we will fix it or give you the content in another form.
